Overview
In the 25.02 release, we rolled out new mobile download options to help organizations manage content more efficiently on mobile devices. These updates will make it easier for users to download images and files within your mobile app.
Important Note: These features are not enabled by default for all customers. We are only enabling these features for customers who have requested them or for those who wish to enable them at the organization level.
Why did we build this?
These features were created in response to requests from customers who wanted more flexibility in how content is managed and accessed on mobile. We recognized that allowing image and file downloads can improve accessibility for users who need offline access or want to download content for future reference.
Who is it for?
This update benefits the following groups:
- Mobile users: Provide users with the ability to download images and files directly from the mobile app, improving accessibility.
- Content authors: Empower content creators to share downloadable media with mobile users who may need it for reference or offline use.
How does it work?
Feature availability:
- These features are only available upon request. Contact your CSM or submit a Support ticket with your request to have it enabled for your org.
Once enabled:
- Image downloads: Users will see an option to download images posted in feeds and content pages within the mobile app.
- File downloads: Users will see the download option available for files on the file detail page.
