Just-in-Time (JIT) provisioning by multiple SSOs
Overview
Simpplr can support multiple SSO vendors at once, allowing users to authenticate and access the intranet using various Single Sign-On providers. This not only streamlines the login process but also enhances security and user experience.
- Simpplr already supports native SSO providers like Google, Okta, Microsoft, OneLogin, Workday and any custom SSO
- With multiple SSOs, any combination of multiple SSOs and multiple instances of any SSO can be configured
- Up to 15 SSO connections can be added at a time
Adding SSO providers
To set up your SSO integrations:
- As the app manager and SSO admin for your org, head to Manage > Application > Security > External IdP (SSO).
- Click Add.
- Select the SSO from the available options.
- Follow the instructions in the applicable documentation for your SSO provider to set up the connection. Repeat the steps for each connection you'd like to make.
- Once the SSO setup is done, a few ready-only fields are generated. These fields are required to be configured back in the provider account in order to complete the integration.
- Depending on the number of providers you set up, the user login experience will look similar to the image below.
Just-in-Time (JIT) provisioning by multiple SSOs
- Users can be provisioned within these multiple SSOs by enabling the setting.
- If enabled, a user logging in via SSO would be provisioned in the intranet in real time.
- This option is available inside the Add/Edit SSO form.
Different actions on SSO
- App managers can edit, disable, enable and delete any of the added SSOs.
- Use the Edit option to update the SSO details.
- Use the Disable option to temporarily disable the login and provisioning of users through that SSO. Configuration settings would be retained.
- Use the Delete option to permanently disable the login and provisioning of users through that SSO.
Single Logout (SLO)
Single Logout (SLO) is a feature in authentication systems that allows users to log out from multiple applications or services at once. It ensures that when a user logs out from Simpplr, they are automatically logged out from the SSO application as well.
SLO can be enabled within any SSO configuration by providing the required fields.
