Overview

Simpplr's Do Not Disturb (DND) feature allows users to set work hours and block incoming, noon-critical notifications outside those work hours. You can pull in UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) data to sync with the DND feature in Simpplr. To do so, you'll need admin access to your org's UKG Pro WFM instance, as well as app manager access in your Simpplr intranet. 

Gathering UKG Pro WFM tenant information:

First, some UKG Pro WFM tenant information is required for integration to work with your Simpplr intranet. You can provide the needed tenant information using one of the following methods depending on the phase that your project is at:

  • You can identify and share the tenant information if you know with the Partner.
  • You can engage with UKG Professional Services for assistance in gathering infomation.
  • You may need to open a UKG Global Support case for their assistance in gathering and creating the required keys and data.

Tenant information required:

The Simpplr integration requires a single admin user to connect to UKG Pro Workforce Management and make API calls.

Create a hyperfind to display terminated and inactive employees in the specified time interval

To create a hyperfind:

Head to your UKG Pro navigation: Main Menu > Administration > Application Setup > Common Setup > Hyperfinds.

  1. Select Create.

  2. Name of the hyperfind should be INACTIVE EMPLOYEES

  3. Confirm No is selected for Home Employees.

  4. Confirm No is selected for Ad Hoc.

  5. Confirm Public for Visibility.

  6. Select Add Conditions.

  7. In the Filters pane, select User information > User Account Status.

  8. From the Status drop-down list, select Terminated. Confirm Within specified time period is selected for As of. Select By Effective Date.

  9. Click on Selected Conditions > Add.

  10. From the Status drop-down list, select Inactive. Confirm Within specified time period is selected for As of. Select By Effective Date.

  11. Click Selected Conditions > Add.

  12. Click Apply.

  13. Click Save.

Enable the integration with Simpplr

Note:

Before completing the steps below, you will need to have gathered the required information by following the steps above.

To enable the UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) integration in conjunction with Simpplr's Do Not Disturb (DND) feature:

  1. You'll need to have a UKG Pro Administrator role to complete these steps.

  2. Enter your UKG Dimensions username and password.

  3. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret provided by UKG.

  4. Enter your org's subdomain. You an copy and paste this from the browser url in which you're logged into UKG Pro WFM.

  5. After integration is completed, select the Simpplr identifier as well as the corresponding mapping field from UKG.
