Release Process
In Simpplr One, we will always upgrade you to the latest version on our GA dates. No need for you to coordinate with our team to get on the latest and greatest from Simpplr.

User Management
You are able to manage your users within Simpplr One’s UI.
Please refer to this article to learn more about how to manage your users.
Roles & Permissions
We have completely redesigned our roles and permissions in Simpplr One. All of your users will maintain the same permissions as they had in Simpplr Classic with two exceptions: App managers & previous System admins will have access to unlisted sites and App managers cannot view or edit other user’s profile settings.
We moved permissions from the “Privileges” section within the Manage app to our new Manage Roles section and we no longer have the System admin role. All System admins will become App managers.
To learn more about our new roles and permissions, please check out this Knowledge Base article.
Custom Reports
In Simpplr Classic, we relied on Salesforce for reports that were not available directly within Simpplr. In Simpplr One, we are building custom reports and actions within our platform.
If you were running a custom report in Simpplr Classic, you can request that report via our support team for now.
Learn more about custom reports and what is available here.
External File Integrations
During the upgrade, your external file integrations will transfer and all external files will stay connected to the sites, pages and tiles where they are linked.
All files that a user has access to in your external file repository will appear in search results. This is different from Simpplr Classic, where only the files within folders connected to sites appear within search. Users will not see any files they do not have access to in the external file system.
Additionally, we no longer have the option for Simpplr Managed permissions and all permissions are managed by the external file system.

New Login Identifiers
In Simpplr Classic, email was the only login identifier available. In Simpplr One, we have other identifiers too, like email, mobile, employee number or other custom fields. Learn more about this here.
During the upgrade, we ask you to keep the same unique identifier for your users. After the upgrade, we can work with you to begin using a new identifier if desired.
